[The Art of Claudio Arrau] Claudio Arrau (1903-1991) was a Chilean pianist active mainly in the United States. To commemorate the 30th anniversary of his death, this is an encore pressing of the "The Art of Claudio Arrau" series released in 2011. Arrau is the only Latin composer to have recorded Debussy's works together. The gentle expression and subtle nuances, the beauty of the tonal resonance and flexible rhythmic sense. The poet Arrau writes with exquisite breath the sonic poetry that Debussy entrusted to these works. An original Japanese project. Recorded in March (2) and September (1) 1979 at La Chaudefonds, Switzerland.
