Description:
This is one of the simplest instrumental works among Beethoven's early works. Is there anything wrong with a fresh, bright and lively Beethoven? (Kazunori Seo)Beethoven's duets were probably composed at the beginning of his creative career. Originally written for clarinet and bassoon, they were often replaced by various instruments, and in this album, the flute and bassoon create a truly idyllic world. The Serenade, composed in 1796, is a seven-movement work in an unusual configuration of flute, violin, and viola. The dialogue between the various instruments is delightfully clear and beautiful. Seo, one of Japan's leading flutists, not only performs the piece but also arranges it, carefully conveying the charm of the work. Naxos Japan
