The Fitzwilliam String Quartet, which boasts a history of over 50 years, has released its second collection of Schubert's late string quartets, following the release of Nos. 13 and 14 (DDA-25197) on the Divine Art label in 2020. This time, the second collection of Schubert's late works is released on Linn label. The second movement of No. 12, for which only a sketch of about 40 bars remains, was completed by Newbold, a Schubert scholar who made many corrections.
