Grimes, a self-taught songwriter and producer who began her career as a DIY home-recording girl and rose to become an international pop icon, has released her fifth and latest album on the "4AD" label. The album is a unique futuristic cyber-synth-goth-pop with a rock sound and industrial music vibe, but also has the catchiness of a royal pop song, showing that she has taken the musical revolution she has proven time and again to new heights. She has also co-written "Violence" with i_o, an up-and-coming artist in the techno scene who belongs to Deadmau5trap, a label sponsored by Deadmau5s, and also welcomed Taiwanese rapper Pan Pan, who was featured in "Scream" from her previous album "Art Angels" and with whom she has a strong mutual resonance. The new album also features innovative and fresh collaborations, such as "Darkseid" with Taiwanese rapper Pan Pan, who was featured in "Scream" from the previous album "Art Angels" and who resonated with the artist i_o to the point of participating in each other's songs.The Japanese CD includes a commentary and bilingual lyrics, and includes the song "We Appreciate Power (with HANA)," which was co-written with American singer/songwriter Hana and was inspired by North Korea's Peony Peak Band and written from the perspective of an idol unit that aims to spread artificial intelligence. One additional bonus track "We Appreciate Power (with HANA)" is also included. This product will be released on the same day worldwide, so it will be delivered on or after the day of release.
