The first original album in seven years from the one-of-a-kind blue-eyed soul singer, Eli Paperboy Reed! For this album, he’s teamed up with Swamp Dogg—the maverick and legend of the R&B world—who serves as producer. The result is a collection of songs that transcend genres—including soul, gospel, folk, country, and rock ’n’ roll—delivered with a more subdued version of his signature shout, showcasing a mature, sophisticated vocal style. Up-and-coming female soul singer Zania makes a guest appearance. Eli Paperboy Reed was born in 1982 in Brookline, near Boston. He grew up listening to a wide range of musical genres, including soul, blues, gospel, rock, and country. He taught himself to play the guitar and piano and performed on the streets and elsewhere. After graduating from high school, he moved to Clarksdale, Mississippi, where he participated in blues sessions almost every day. After enrolling at the University of Chicago, he was selected as the music director for Mitty Koria’s gospel choir. After graduating, he returned to Boston, and his 2008 album *Roll With You*, released on the indie label QDivision, became a global hit, leading to his first visit to Japan for Fuji Rock the following year. In 2010, she released her major-label debut, *Come And Get It!*, on Capitol, followed by *Nights Like This* on Warner in 2014. She subsequently signed with YepRoc and released *My Way Home* in 2016, *Meets High & Mighty Brass Band* in 2018, *99 Cent Dreams* in 2019, and a tribute album to Merle Haggard titled *Down Every Road* in 2022.
