The Waeve

Description:

The Wave, a project by Graham Coxon (Blur) and Rose Ellinor Dougal (Mark Ronson collaborator and founder of The Pipettes). City Lights", their second album, produced by James Ford (Arctic Monkeys, Fontaine's D.C.), as well as their previous UK Top 30 album, is now available. The WAEVE, the folk rock/post-punk duo of Graham Coxon (Blur) and Rose Elinor Dougall, will release their new guitar-driven album, "City Lights". This follows the release of their critically acclaimed self-titled album "The WAEVE" (UK Top 30) last year. The album was produced by James Ford (Fontaines DC, Arctic Monkeys) and features vocals by both artists. The WAEVE have already established themselves as notable songwriting partners, but "City Lights" pushes the creative boundaries of their collaboration even further and evolves their relationship. The relationship between the two has evolved even further. The album is also housed in a beautiful gatefold sleeve designed by Matt de Jong (Blur, Arlo Parks). The title track was already released in May and added to the 6Music playlist, as well as being featured in NME, DIY, Stereogum, Under The Radar, and more. The band also served as the main support for Elbow's UK arena tour, in addition to a sold-out headlining show at London's Hoxton Hall. This summer, in addition to shows with Noel Gallagher and the Breeders, the band will perform at the Green Man Festival, headline the Village Underground on October 29, and will embark on a full-length album tour in the spring. WAEVE (pronounced "wave") is the project of Graham Coxon and Rose Elinor Dougall, one of the guitar heroes of his generation, who, along with his significant contributions to Blur, has released nine solo albums since 1998, as well as a highly regarded soundtrack work. He is also well known for his nine solo albums released since 1998 as well as his work on acclaimed soundtracks. His autobiography, "Verse, Chorus, Monster!" was published last fall by Faber and Faber.Rose Elinor Dougall is a singer-songwriter from London who has released three solo albums to date, including her latest, A New Illusion (2019) Founder of The Pipettes, Mark Ronson and Baxter Dury He is also known for his work with Mark Ronson, Baxter Dury, and others.
