Music for "Lever Harp" and "Pedal Harp" Lauren Scott demonstrates her mastery and unique expressiveness on both the lever harp, which uses a lever on the strings to adjust the pitch (scale), and the pedal harp, which uses a pedal on the foot to adjust the pitch (scale). On her debut album "Beyond the Horizon" (AV2417), released in 2020, Scott performed her own compositions and arrangements of John Cage, The Beatles, and other artists using only the lever harp. In his long-awaited second album, he makes full use of lever harp, pedal harp, and a prepared pedal harp that changes its tone by applying various objects to the strings. Interspersed with new compositions of her own, original works by contemporary harpists, and lovely arrangements of Ravel, Bach, folk songs, and more, the album presents a fresh sound and a new fascination with the harp. Lauren Scott is an Australian-born harpist who has contributed to the development of the harp community in the UK, performing with various orchestras and ensembles and making active appearances on television and radio, including five years as president of the British Harp Society.
