In 2013, Vasily Petrenko became the 15th Chief Conductor of the prestigious Oslo Philharmonic Orchestra in Norway, and was named "Artist of the Year" at the 2017 Gramophone Awards. The fourth collaboration project between the young master of the 21st century, the Oslo Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Norwegian label LAWO, will feature Scriabin's Symphonies No. 1 and No. 5, which will complete the complete works of Scriabin! The first symphony "No. 1" was written in 1900, when Scriabin was a professor of piano at the Moscow Conservatory. The Oslo Philharmonic Orchestra will present these two beautiful and powerful works in a rich and warm sound.The soloist for "Symphony No. 5" is Kirill Gerstein, as in the previous "Piano Concerto.
