Following Nos. 1 and 2 (CC-72958), Nos. 3 and 4 will be released soon! The Stavanger Symphony Orchestra, founded in 1938, is one of Norway's most prestigious orchestras and currently led by Andris Poga, with guest appearances by Kanellakis, Elas-Cassad, and Gaffigan. Since 1990, the orchestra has also had Brüchen, Herreweghe, and Biondi in turn as Artistic Directors of Old Music, and has deepened its knowledge of historical techniques. Like Brüchen, de Friend started his career in the Dutch classical music world and is now active as a conductor all over the world.The Stavanger Symphony Orchestra, which has a Brüchen-crafted sound on one side, will sound sympathetically. An exciting Schumann created by a performance that is well versed in historical technique. De Friend's pursuit of a balance between the magnificent orchestral sound and crystal-clear polyphony is fascinating, with a deep interpretation that seems to express even Schumann's complex inner life.
