Live album by The Teskee Brothers, an Australian sibling band that debuted in 2017. As is fitting for a band that loves analog, as live albums by Bruce Springsteen ('75), David Bowie ("Ziggy Stardust," '73), and countless other musicians were recorded at the same venue, "Live At The Hammersmith Apollo" was recorded entirely on tape. London-based producer/engineer Declan Gaffney, who had previously engineered and mixed live albums for U2 and The Rolling Stones, was assigned to handle the technical aspects. Gaffney set up a makeshift studio behind the stage curtain and turned tapes on a StuderA80 borrowed from the famed Metropolis Studios just around the corner.Nostalgia aside, this record is above all an ode to the famous chemistry and dynamics of the brothers on stage, enhanced by band members Olaf Scott (keys), Fabian Hunter (bass), Audrey Powne (trumpet), Nick Lawrence (drums), and Lilly Shaw (sax), who have been touring with the Teskey Brothers since 2023. Shaw (saxophone), this is an ode to the brothers' famous chemistry and dynamics on stage. Live At The Hammersmith Apollo is the sixth album by the Teske Brothers. Their latest, The Winding Way, debuted at #1 on the ARIA charts and won the 2023 ARIA Award for Best Blues & Roots Album and the Rolling Stone Australia Award for Best 2023 Record. Following its release, the band played sold-out shows around the world, including a prime set at Glastonbury's Other Stage (Sunday at 3pm) in 2023.The Winding Way is the sequel to Run Home Slow that everyone has been waiting for, and it was a huge success, reaching #2 on the ARIA charts, winning three ARIA awards, and earning Sam Teske a Grammy nomination for Best Engineered Album. More importantly, Run Home Slow fulfilled the promise of their acclaimed debut record, 2017's Half Mile Harvest, and solidified the Teske Brothers as a classy modern band with an appetite for classic soul and R&B music.
