This is a 1970 live recording of Three Sounds, one of Blue Note's most prolific artists. Led by pianist Gene Harris, the trio's sound evolved in 1970 with the addition of bassist Henry Franklin and drummer Carl Burnett to the new lineup, but this is the one album that was not released at the time of recording. The blues and gospel roots were still there, but the rhythms had a funkier edge, as heard on the live recording "Live at the 'It Club'". Single Jacket Edition
