GRANDMASHOUSE is based in Bristol, England. The band consists of four members: YASMINBERNDT (vocals/guitar), POPPYDODGSON (vocals/drums), ZOEZINSMEISTER (vocals/bass), and POLLYJESSETT (guitar). Influenced by post-punk and grunge rock acts such as IDLES, THE RAINCOATS, NIRVANA, and BOYGENIUS, they have established a unique sound that exudes a one-of-a-kind presence. At SXSW 2026, they delivered a raw and energetic live performance that left a strong impression on the audience. Their style—intelligent and stylish yet featuring a raw rock sound that refuses to fit into existing categories—has garnered a following, particularly among young people. *BABYYOU’REAWINNER* marked a major leap forward for GRANDMASHOUSE. Produced in collaboration with ALICHANT (who has worked with PJ Harvey, Perfume Genius, YARDACT, and others), this album is more multi-layered and meticulously structured than their previous works, with a focus on utilizing vocals and harmonies to highlight the arrangements. The moment you hit play, a cool, raspy voice hits you right in the head. Powerful, deep bass and softly whispered choruses. A sound that radiates vibrant energy while remaining immersed in the dark sonic world characteristic of post-punk.
