Paul Weller is one of the leading musicians in the current British rock scene. In the 1980s, he formed The Style Council, a band that skillfully incorporated the essence of R&B and gained new fans, and after the breakup of the group, he energetically pursued his career as a solo artist, remaining at the forefront of the British music scene. Now, rare archives of Paul Weller's various periods of activity are available! In May 1985, The Style Council released "Our Favourite Shop," an album with a stronger R&B flavor than their debut album, which reached No. 1 in the UK album charts and won a gold disc. The tour started exclusively in Europe, and the December 8-10, 1985 concert at London's Wembley Arena was recorded for video, television, and radio use, with Disc 1 being a live album of the radio broadcast material.After the official live album "Home & Abroad", "The Cost Of Loving" was released in January 1987, reaching No.2 in the UK album charts and earning a gold disc. The March 12, 1987 concert in Hannover, Germany was recorded and broadcast as a program on German broadcaster WDR, and Disc 2 is a live album of recordings from this broadcast.Both live archives capture The Style Council at the height of their popularity, and the band's fatty live performance conveys their greatness!
