Embark on a cosmic journey where Asian oceanic music meets psychedelic and dub—the long-awaited physical LP release of the second album by Seoul-based psychedelic band Asian Spice House, which is already generating buzz in Japan! Asian Spice House, a Seoul-based band, has developed a unique musical style that spans psychedelic rock, world music, electronic, and dub, all while exploring musical elements from across Asia. Their second album—their first release in about two years since their debut, which featured on the “Under the Bridge World Music Festival ~ SoulBeatAsia 2025” in August 2025 and “MusicLaneOkinawa 2026” ." Their second album, released approximately two years after their debut, presents a psychedelic sound that has deepened and gained greater definition. Through imagery of the ocean and waves, the album depicts human desires and inner longings while expressing the flow and changes of life, as well as the connection between humans and nature. Comprising 11 tracks, this album builds a multidimensional sound by fusing dub, electronic music, and diverse rhythmic structures, all grounded in elements of the diverse maritime music of Asia’s monsoon region. Drawing inspiration from maritime folk music across Asia—such as Korean folk songs, Japan’s “Soran-bushi,” and Thailand’s “Morlam”—the band has reinterpreted these traditions in a contemporary style. Furthermore, by adding a vintage texture reminiscent of the ’70s and ’80s, they evoke nostalgia while expanding their psychedelic soundscape. Hailing from the Seoul-based label Eastern Standard Sounds—which launched NST & The Soul Source, who performed at the Fuji Rock Festival in 2019 and whose album released that same year was ranked second in the reggae category of *Music Magazine*’s Best Albums of the Year list—the group has emerged from this label.
