The next album from MINUS is by MARC HOULE, a producer who, like RICHIE HAWTIN, grew his musical career in Canada. The talented producer, who made his debut in 2004 with the 2LP "RESTORE" on MINUS, and made his reputation with "BAY OF FIGS" in 2006, has released his first album in 4 years! (This is the first official release on CD!). (This is his first official release on CD!) "DRIFT" is inspired by the "cold, dark, gray winter" of Berlin, where he currently resides. From the beginning of the track, which samples the sound of footsteps (?) walking on a crowded street on a snowy night, the sound is akin to the sound of a snowman's footsteps. The mysterious synth lines of "Inside" are sampled from the beginning of "Inside," while "Drift" jumps you into consciousness with its heavy, earth-crawling bass line and synths that twist time and space, and the melancholic melody quietly permeates the listener's mind with its minimalistic track "MRIFT". Melting" quietly permeates the listener's mind with its melancholic melody combined with minimalistic tracks. Different from the usual MINUS releases, this is an excellent album of eight tracks with imaginative sounds that evoke a landscape, just like a soundtrack.
