Singer/songwriter/producer Leonardo Marques of Minas, Brazil, releases his long-awaited new album "Flea Market Music"! About this album, Leonardo says, "(Even before the production) I knew that this record would be like a flea market. It is an ensemble of nostalgia, a record that is a collage of memories, dreams, ideas, sounds, smells, words, feelings, places, and times," he explains. He finds his musical eye in the flea market, a place of small, personal dramas: broken toys, custom-made shirts with embroidered initials, tan record collections, and so on. Leonardo continues, "I want to talk about the anxieties of life, including old age, but also about accepting them and enjoying life. It is also a record that takes you on a journey to a place and time you have dreamed of for many years but have never seen.In terms of sound, the "personal yet unique sound space," which he has been exploring for many years, is expressed more than ever. The slumbering lo-fi sound recorded at his studio "Ilha do Corvo" is even more addictive, leading the listener on a pleasant nostalgic journey. The cover, which seems to be a homage to Shuggie Otis' "Inspiration Information," is also a perfect match to the music of this album. This long-awaited new album is a career masterpiece.
