Pelléas et Mélisande" with a cast almost identical to the one that performed in Japan. The production, which premiered in 2018, was also presented in Kanazawa and Tokyo in the same year with great success by the Orchestra Ensemble Kanazawa conducted by Minkowski. It is a pleasure to note that the soloists are the same as in the Japanese production, except for the role of Genevieve. Barberac as Pelleas and Skerrato as Melisande are both strong-willed and sensitive, and the supporting cast, including Duhamel as Golaud, is also excellent. Quelle, a teenage soprano who plays the role of Iniordo, who is also used as a boy soprano, plays the sensitive role well. Dumousseau's music is also impeccable, with its big ups and downs and well-controlled overall flow. Naxos Japan
