Sleaford Mods, the middle-aged punk duo of Jason Williamson and Andrew Fearn, who have a cult following in the UK for their DIY laptop punk sound and powerful lyrics about frustration and anger towards the working class and society, have released their long-awaited latest album on the "Rough Trade" label. Rough Trade"! Spare Ribs" was recorded over three weeks in their hometown of Warehouse, Nottingham during lockdown, and features the first single "Mork n Mindy" with up-and-coming punk artist Billy No Mates, as well as the second single "Mork n Mindy" with Melbourne punk band Melbourne Punk Band, and the third single "Mork n Mindy" with Melbourne punk artist Billy No Mates. The album also features Amy Taylor of Melbourne punk band Amir and the Sniffers, who are also part of Rough Trade.The duo's indignation at the government's sense of entitlement, symbolized by the British government's cavalier response to the new coronavirus crisis, explodes in this film, which is a scathing critique of the government with their incomparably dry sense of humor, as they say "Human life is expendable for the elite... We are always in a state of 'spare ribs'" and take a stand against it. With their unparalleled dry sense of humor, the band's critique of the government and their stance of resistance is a delightful work of art. The CD version of this work for domestic distribution includes a commentary. This product will be available for sale on Friday and will be released at the same time worldwide.
