Nanako Sato, the diva with a one-of-a-kind whispery voice. Two long-lost tracks from her collaborations with Ryuichi Sakamoto and Motoharu Sano are being released on a 7-inch single. Both are rare recordings being released commercially for the first time. One track is the techno-pop song “Fashion Energy,” which Ryuichi Sakamoto composed specifically for a commercial for a certain apparel manufacturer, featuring Nanako Sato on vocals. This track was recorded in February 1986, with Ryuichi Sakamoto himself handling the instrumentation. The other track is “Lovers at Dusk,” which was recorded during the sessions for Nanako Sato’s 1979 classic album *Kissing Fish* but had remained unreleased until now. It is a mellow, romantic slow ballad composed by Motoharu Sano. (C)RS
