Description:

Compilation of live broadcast material from the Bon Scott era in the 70's! Three hot live performances from before his debut to just before his breakthrough in the U.S.! This is a compilation of three live broadcast recordings from the 70's when Bon Scott was the vocalist of AC/DC. Bon Scott joined the band in October 1974 as a replacement for Dave Evans, the first vocalist. Although he was older than the other members, Bon Scott had already had a successful career and was able to embody the explosive power of rock music. The five songs from the New Year's Eve show in 1974 were recorded only three months after Scott joined the band, at a time when the band was still in full swing and had released one single in the Dave Evans era, but had not yet emerged from amateurism, and the bass guitarist and drummer had only been with the band for a short period from May to December of 1974. The bass and drums were played by members who had only been with the band for a short period of time from May to December 1974.The following performance in Cleveland on August 22, 1977 was from the tour for their third album "Let There Be Rock" (1977), which made its world debut in 1976, but the album failed to sell well in the US due to its popularity in Europe. This is from the band's first tour in the U.S., which took place amidst such a situation. The strongest lineup, with Cliff Williams and Phil Rudd in the rhythm section, had already completed that AC/DC sound. The Boston show on August 21, 1978, exactly one year later, was recorded from the "Powerage" (1978) tour. The performance was at a club with a capacity of 500 people, as it was still before their breakthrough in the U.S., but the performance was raw and tremendously energetic, and you can see the heat in their eyes. It's great.
