Konstantin Semirakovs, born in 1984 in Riga, Latvia, is a pianist whose research focuses on the phenomenon of color perception, especially in the classical piano repertoire. He is also interested in synaesthetic performances of the music of Messiaen and Scriabin, the results of which are included in this album. Each piece is arranged chronologically, allowing the listener to trace the development of Scriabin's musical language from its origins in 19th century music to a more specific style. Tokyo M-Plus
