Maddalena was born in Italy and became interested in music at an early age. She began piano lessons at the age of four, but cello was the next instrument she picked up. She steadily expanded her repertoire, and at the age of 13 she studied at the Vienna Conservatory. She majored in cello, but when she walked into a record store in the center of Vienna and heard the sound of the viola da gamba, she was completely captivated by it. She continued her cello studies and earned a master's degree. In 2012, she was awarded a prize by the composer "Príncipe Francesco Maestro Maestro" for her work on the viola da gamba. In 2012, she participated in the Viola da gamba competition named after the composer "Principe Francesco Maria Ruspoli" and made it to the final round, while also serving as a jury member in other Italian competitions and appearing in concerts around Europe.This album is dedicated to the first child (twin) of Louis XV and Queen Marie Leszczinska, the second princess Henriette (1727-1752). She was known for her portraits with her viol, and was especially fond of music, but she died of illness at the young age of 24. This is the most beautiful and elegant reproduction of the music she loved in the royal household of her time. Universal Music/IMS
