This album is the second of a series of recordings with the Trinity Choir, formed by Daniel Taylor, one of today's most talented and popular countertenors, to perform a unique program of choral works, following the release of "Four Thousand Winter" earlier this year (2016). 15th century The works are selected from a wide range of periods, from 15th century carols to contemporary Tavener, and are all related to Christmas. ＜Daniel Taylor was born in Canada in 1969. He studied philosophy and music at the Université de Montréal, Université de Marguerite and postgraduate studies, and was accepted by Michael Chance to study in England, where he made a sensational debut at the 1997 Glyndebourne Festival. He has performed in Handel and Monteverdi operas to critical acclaim and has a wide repertoire of contemporary music, including works by Bernstein and Ryuichi Sakamoto's "Life" (with the Dalai Lama and Carreras).Recently, she has performed and recorded Bach cantatas with Masaaki Suzuki/Bach Collegium Japan, Gardiner/Engliche Barock Soloists, and Herreweghe/Collegium Vocale, and has received high praise for her natural voice and intelligent singing.
