Dream Theater's 9th official bootleg includes the first half of "Act 1" from the 2017 Nippon Budokan concert! The "Lost Not Forgotten Archives" series is a series of official bootleg releases of treasured live, demo, and studio outtakes from the kings of progressive metal, Dream Theater. The ninth in the series will be the live album "...and Beyond - Live in Japan, 2017" (...and Beyond - Live in Japan, 2017), which includes "Act 1," the first half of the live performance at Nippon Budokan on September 11, 2017. The album will be the first of their new works to be released in Japan. This album is a live recording from the "Images, Words & Beyond - 25th Anniversary Tour", a world tour held to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the release of their 1992 album "Images and Words", which was their breakthrough work. The complete reproduction of "Images and Words" performed in the latter half of "Act 2" has already been released as the first volume of this series. In "Act 1," the band performed two songs from their latest album "The Astonishing" (The Astonishing), and other original songs from the 2000s onward. Five of the eight songs are live recordings for the first time.Rare takes such as "Portrait of Tracy" (John Maierlang (B) covering Jaco Pastorius) and "As I Am" (Metallica's "Enter Sandman") are also a part of this album. The performance was broadcast on TV in the past. This is the first time that this performance has been made available as a commercial product, although it has been broadcast on TV and streamed for a fee in the past. The first volume in the series and this album will be the complete live performance of the night.
