The "Art of Choral Music" series is an extensive project that traces the history of choral music over six centuries, from the Renaissance to the present day. The releases are not in order from one to the other; the seventh collection (ACD2-2426), which contains Christmas music, has been released so far. Ensemble Art Chorale (formerly Ensemble Vocal Arts Quebec) is a choir with traditional choral music as the mainstay of its repertoire and a history of over 40 years; since 2018, it has welcomed Matthias Maute, conductor, composer, recorder & flutist, as its artistic director!
