Released In 1962, The Day Mars Invaded Earth Portrays Dr. David Fielding (Kent Taylor), The Project Director Of The First Robotic Probe To Explore Mars, And Was Written By Genre Producer Robert L. Lippert'S Understated Film In The Style Of The Twilight Zone. After The Device Is Destroyed, He Returns To His Family, Who Are Staying With Relatives On Their Property In California. Unexpectedly, They Begin To Encounter Body Doubles That Threaten Each Other. It Is The Manifestation Of An Insubstantial Martian Who Wants To Prevent Earth From Invading Their Homeland. The Music For The Day Mars Invaded Earth Was Composed By Richard W. (Aka, "Dick") Lasalle. Lasalle Was Born In Louisville, Colorado, And Wrote Songs For Local Radio While Performing At Local Hotels. His Career As A Film Musician Began With 1958'S Tank Battalion, And Within Two Years He Was Regularly Producing As Many As Nine Scores A Year In 1961 And 1962 Alone. Eventually, His Musical Talents Caught The Ear Of Producer Irwin Allen, Who Gave Him A Number Of Television Films, Including "City Beneath The Sea," "Adventures Of The Queen," "Flood!, Fire!" And The Mini-Series "The Return Of Captain Nem, And The Miniseries The Return Of Captain Nem. Flight To Mars, Released In 1951, Depicts The First Scientific Expedition To "The Red Planet" Led By Jim Barker (Arthur Franz) And Steve Abbott (Cameron Mitchell), Who Crash Their Spaceship And Are Rescued By Humanoid Martians. The Film Depicts The First Scientific Expedition To The Red Planet, Led By Cameron Mitchell, Crashing Their Spacecraft And Being Rescued By Humanoid Martians. Under The Desolate Surface, The Leader (Morris Ankrum), Who Lives In A Technologically Advanced City, Offers To Help Repair The Earthling Ship, But He Secretly Plans To Invade The Planet... (1/2)
