The Helsinki Chamber Choir sings Rautavaara's "A Cappella Mass"! The Helsinki Chamber Choir was founded in 1962 as the Finnish Radio Chamber Choir and changed its name to the current one in 2005, Recording activities have also become more active. The Sibelius Chorus is a "mysterious tone and transparent beauty of sound." In a new album released on the ICSM label in the UK, she sings works by Rautavaara and Vennakoski of Finland and Paola Livorsi of Italy. Rautavaara's "A Cappella Mass" is a texturally diverse work co-commissioned by the Netherlands Radio Choir, the Cheltenham Music Festival, and the Swedish Radio Choir. Our joy-full'st feast" was composed as Christmas music based on poems by Shakespeare and George Wither. Vennakoski is a composer known for his lyrical style of music, which often has a playful feel.The "In the Light (Valossa)," which connects various fragments of the "Bible" and ends with "Everything that is revealed becomes light" ("Ephesians" 5:14). Ommel" is a waka poem by Abe no Irazume from "Manyoshu" (The Anthology of Myriad Leaves), in which she sings, in five languages, "The stitching of the robe that my son wears will not fall off, nor will it enter my heart. And "Lament," a "meditation on death" by Livorsi. All but "A Cappella Mass" were commissioned and premiered by the Helsinki Chamber Choir. Tokyo M-Plus
