Royalston's new album arrives on Med School, a sub-label of Hospital Records! Royalston, the Sydney, Australia-based project of Dylan Martin, one of Aussie's best drum producers, has completed its second album "People On The Ground"! This new album is the first release since the shocking debut album "OCD" released on the same label last year! Royalston made his debut with the single "Celulean Blue/Bonesinger" on the Med School label, and has since released quality drum tracks on such prestigious labels as Bad Taste and Black Acre, creating a buzz.The originality of the band's sound covers a wide range, from hardcore drums to funky liquid to dark electric-like territory! Of course, the Royalson colors are not muddied on this second album! Starting off with the funky-tech "Ask Me," the electric tune "People On The Ground" features a beautiful piano melody and haunting vocals, "Blight Mamba" is tricky with its aggressive beat and flying synths, and the solid bass line and floating synths are a nice touch on "Lil' Mamba. The second half of the album is a grimier, blacker affair with tracks like "Sunburnt In Malaysia" and "Don't Give Me Up"! It's so free! Unlimited! You'll be hooked by their uninhibited and unrestrained behavior! A dance tune that would sound great in a concert hall!
