[Leonard Bernstein (1918.8.25-1990.10.14) was a star conductor who shared popularity with Karajan in the 20th century.) His passionate, emotionally charged, and soulful performances drew the sympathies of many, and he was loved by many with a charismatic following. To commemorate the 100th anniversary of his birth, 50 titles are being released in a limited edition in UHQCD with green color label coating and sound quality specifications. The 50-track set includes the pastoral "Rural," which is full of pastoral music and a high-spirited celebration of nature, and the small-scale "Eighth," which is a classic but has an appealing, mature style of writing. This is the second recording from the complete cycle that won the 1980 Record Academy Grand Prize. This is one of the products from the second complete cycle that won the Record Academy Grand Prize in 1980.
