The music that accompanies the lively dancing of Gutiérrez and Galstian includes works by Sibelius, Massenet, and conductor Coleman, in addition to the original Adan, and is also worth listening to. Beauty and the Beast" sharply depicts the psychological drama of a heart that rejects superficial ugliness until it realizes true love, and is expressed through a simple yet stunning set and costumes, a combination of music from the Baroque to the modern era (Ligeti's works are used particularly effectively), and an impressive butoh dance. The story is represented by the The Beast is danced by Japan's ace dancer Takafumi Watanabe, who was promoted to soloist in 2011 after an unprecedented two-step promotion.Created in 2011 for the Ballet du Capitole de Toulouse, "The Dying Queen" is the story of Ines de Castro, a real-life 14th century queen.
