Description:

Violinist Mai Suzuki and pianist Akimi Fukuhara have recorded two masterpieces by Franck and Lecoux! The two masterpieces by Franck and Lecoux are performed by the newly formed duo Les Ailes. Mai Suzuki, a leading young talented violinist. And Akimi Fukuhara, a highly acclaimed pianist who has performed with renowned masters in Japan and abroad. These two world-renowned musicians have newly formed the duo "Les Ailes. The first album bearing their name, "Les Ailes," was released on T-Tech Records. Les Ailes", the name of the duo and the album, was named after the wishes of the listeners of OTTAVA, a radio station specializing in music, and means "wings" in French. It means "wings" in French, and it is a wish that music will become wings, freeing people's hearts and letting them flap their wings wherever they want to go. And it is the "wind," or the presence of the listener, that makes these wings soar high into the air. The performers and the audience resonate with each other, creating together a moment in which the music comes alive. This album is a performance that cherishes such a live performance. The recordings include two major sonatas by César Franck and Guillaume Lecoux, known as the pinnacle of violin sonatas, and other masterpieces that allow the listener to enjoy the refined romance and poetic sentiment of 19th century French music. In Franck's sonata, the two outstanding ensembles vividly depict the process by which the meticulously constructed motifs change and come to fruition in a grand life story. In Lecoux's sonata, on the other hand, the passion and struggle of the composer during his short life of only 24 years are sublimated into sweet melodies and deep lyricism, and the young composer's fresh sensibility resonates wistfully and powerfully. In addition, the graceful "Capriccio" by Cecil Chaminade and the "Spanish Serenade," which evokes a sunny paradise, add fresh colors to the album. The trust and resonance that have been nurtured over the years between Mai Suzuki and Akimi Fukuhara, two remarkable musicians active in Japan and abroad, have breathed new life into these masterpieces! The "wings" created by the music will free the hearts and minds of the listeners to the fullest extent. This is a superb piece of music that expresses such a wish.
