This 70 year old two-shot of Thiebaud and Feuermann in Tokyo is combined with some of their most famous recordings. Please enjoy the photos (enlarged photos are included in the booklet). The 101st CD in the Opus collection was born from a photograph. Thiebaud and Feuermann in Tokyo in 1936. This CD combines two of their most famous recordings, Thiebaud's Kreutzer and Feuermann's Arpeggione. Please also read Mr. Itakura's liner notes that follow their footsteps. (Opus Collection; Mr. Aihara) This CD includes Thibaud's Kreutzer Sonata and Feuermann's Arpeggione Sonata, both of which were featured on their visit to Japan in 1936.In particular, the sound of Thiebaud's Kreutzer is sharper than the previous reissues, and the piano sound is stronger, which is much closer to the actual balance of the instruments.
