This DVD features the complete Mozart string quintets performed at the 2014 festival. Mozart's string quintets were composed in the form of a string quartet with an additional viola, and the beautiful music is full of joy and happiness. The performance is performed by a group of the most exciting string players of the day. Renaud Capuçon, one of the leading French violinists of our time, will perform. Alina Ibragimova, who shows her expressive ability in both ancient and modern techniques. The French virtuoso Gérard Cosset, who will delight you with his fascination for the viola, and Léa Enino, a young violist born in Paris in 1991 who has emerged from international competitions as a promising young player. The quartet is led by cellist Clemens Hagen, a founding member of the Hagen Quartet and a leader in the world of string music today. Mozart composed his first String Quintet No. 1 (K174) at the age of 17, and No. 6 (K614) a few months before his death.Therefore, when listening to all the pieces in their entirety, one can feel the transition of Mozart's music from the fresh and lush No. 1, to No. 4 with its beautiful melody celebrating the melancholy of G minor, to No. 6, which shows the transparency and depth characteristic of Mozart's later years.
