This is a choral collection of small pieces that have been released as encore pieces since 2009 as a collaboration between composer Sunao Isaji and the vocal ensemble "Voxmana". The pieces have been slowly accumulated, one or two each year. The tense beauty of a tightrope walker or a classical ballet, and the delicate and highly precise concert sounds become "songs" and weave a "story". The Izaaji world unfolds in a variety of ways, at times nostalgic, at times funny, and at times inviting us into a somewhat different world. ＜His CDs include "Hot Wind Saudade Theater (2008)" and "Kodomo no Kaderno Doyo Shu I (2022)". He has won the first prize at the Japan Music Competition, the New Composer Award of the Japan Contemporary Music Society, the Akutagawa Composition Award, the Idemitsu Music Award, and the Keizo Saji Award, among others. He has presented many works incorporating voice, improvisation, and performance, and also performs them himself. ＜In 2012, he won the 21st Asahi Contemporary Music Award.In 2018, he received the 30th Music Pen Club Music Award (Classical "Contemporary Music" category). ＜Voxmana was founded in 1996 by volunteers from the Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music's Department of Vocal Music. The name means "human voice" in Latin, and the group explores the possibility of creating new music with the voice. The group holds regular concerts twice a year. The repertoire is centered on pre-Renaissance polyphonic music and contemporary music from the 20th century onward.
