SOLIDARITINE is more hardcore-oriented, with a sense of urgency and fresh energy that brings the band back to its early days and brings its adiprotic tendencies to the forefront.With New York underground icon Walter Schreifels (Gorilla Biscuits, Rival Schools, Quicksand) as producer, the band has completed the album. The album is meant to bring people of good will together." Gogol Bordello was formed in 1999 in New York City by Eugene Hutz (Vocals/Guitar), a native of Ukraine. The sound they create with violins and accordions is called gypsy punk. The band is also known for its live performances, and has appeared at numerous festivals including Coachella, Lollapalooza, Bonnaroo, Roskill, Rock Am Ring, Glastonbury, Reading/Leeds, Fuji Rock, and Summer Sonic. In 1999, the band released its debut album, Vois-La Intruder, on the Rubric label.After their second album "Multi Kontra Culti vs. Irony" in 2002, they moved to Side One Dummy, which released their third album "Gypsy Punks: Underdog World Strike" by Steve Albini in 2005 and their fourth album "Super Taranta! In 2007, they released their fourth album "Super Taranta! They then released their fifth album, "Trans-Continental Hustle" (2010), produced by Rick Rubin on American Recordings, and their sixth album, "Pura Vida Conspiracy" (2010), produced by Andrew Scheps on ATO.
