Description:

Special sale of popular titles from such as Cassa Overall and Dime Arocena for a limited time only: 1,500 yen! A new masterpiece that pursues the traditional music of Mara Peru, a major figure in UK bass culture, and achieves the ultimate encounter with bass music! Mara, a leading figure in the UK bass culture that had a huge influence on the music scene in the zero's, and has created numerous followers including James Blake, has released a long-awaited original album following his masterpiece "Mara in Cuba"! This album, entitled "Mirrors," follows on the heels of "Cuba" with a deep exploration of traditional Peruvian culture and music, and the ultimate encounter with his own bass music. The result of repeated visits to Peru to immerse himself in the country's music, the album revolves around tempo and flow, skillfully incorporating local Afro-Peruvian percussionists, folk dance tap dancers, and Andean divas into its 14 tracks. The primitive and radical dance music is a gift that only Mara could create, including "Cunumicita," a cover of a 1940s Andean folk song that also has Cumbia roots; "Sabateo," in which the footsteps of a master of the Peruvian folk dance Zapateo dance in a giant dance hall; and "Sound of the River," featuring field recordings of a river flowing through "The Sacred Valley" and the voice of soprano diva and anthropologist The primitive and radical dance music of "Sound of the River," featuring field recordings of the river flowing through the "Sacred Valley" and the voice of soprano diva and anthropologist Sylvia Falcon, is the result of Mara's unique creation. The final track, "4 Element," the culmination of her career, is a raging breakbeat rush of stormy drums perfectly balanced with pauses and silences, like a hot Sunday in 1995 at the Goldie club Metalheadz, where Dock Scott's records were being played on the hotly anticipated "Metalheadz. It sounds like a dub that spilled out of Doc Scott's record bag at the Goldie club on a hot Sunday in 1995!
