The trio album features the winner of the ARD Munich International Music Competition, the most prestigious competition for young musicians in the world, Přemysl Vojta, who won the first prize in the horn section, the Audience Award, the Best New Performance Award, and the Special Award of the New Philharmonic Westphalia in 2010. The Czech horn virtuoso Přemysl Vojta (1983-) has made a name for himself around the world as the heir apparent to Radek Babolák. Vojta, who also won the Beethoven Ring Prize at the 2011 Beethoven Festspiele Bonn, has been a remarkable performer, moving from the Staatskapelle Academy in Dresden to principal of the Staatskapelle Berlin and Konzerthausorchester Berlin. He is one of the world's leading hornists, serving as principal horn player of the WDR Symphony Orchestra Cologne from 2015 to 2019. Vojta has received international acclaim for his outstanding album productions, including a recording of the complete horn concertos of Joseph and Michael Haydn, and "Metamorphosis," in which he played three different horns for each period of the work, beautifully recreating the sound and technique of the horn at the time each work was written. The Vojtajes are internationally acclaimed for their excellent albums, such asBrahms was the first to establish the composition of horn, violin, and piano, and this album features works by modern and contemporary composers who have explored the appeal of this form of composition. As a concert master, female violinist Ye Woo has performed under renowned conductors such as Kurt Masur, Kent Nagano, and Christoph Eschenbach, and with many orchestras. Florence Millet, who studied at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique in Paris and performed with the Ensemble Intercontemporain led by Pierre Boulez and David Robertson from 1992 to 2000, is at the forefront of the contemporary music world and will explore new repertoire for this orchestra.
