Amazing Sounds, Unknown Energy This is a collection of works by Vladimir Gichev Bogachu, a composer born in 1986 in Uruguay. The music is surprisingly unique, with every note taking an unexpected turn, leading to a sea of uplifting sounds. There is no genre at all, but a unique world where new music, jazz, South American folklore, and more blend together in a way that is far removed from existing musical styles. In "encuentros casuals," the music of jazz saxophonist Eric Dolphy is quoted, and in "igualito, igualito, igualito," the cello sounds like the guitar of Chilean singer Violaita Parra. Vos, seguime" is a "doppelganger trio," as the composer puts it, combining the classical trio of piano, violin, and cello with the trio of oboe, tuba, and percussion, and the trios repeat and influence each other.
