The album is led by the preceding single, "Toni," a smoky silver rock lyric poem,The 11 songs on this album exude a sublime romanticism that stems from the band's distaste for the information and consumer society from sound to sound. In addition to their ally Alan Mulder, the band features co-producer Flood, who has worked with U2, Nine Inch Nails, Carve, Gary Numan, and Depeche Mode, and mastering was done by master musician Greg Calbi. Here is the most complete album in the band's history, as if immersed in the finest smoky film noir.
