Pattern-Seeking Animals

Description:

The debut album from Pattern-Seeking Animals, a progressive rock band led by renowned composer John Boegehold, "I didn't want to make music that was just a series of hookless bars, no matter how long the song was. Pattern-Seeking Animals was formed in the 90's by the Morse brothers, with Japanese keyboardist Ryo Okumoto as a member of Spock's. The album is the debut album of Pattern-Seeking Animals. The band is led by John Boegehold, the third generation singer in Spock's Beard and a member of ENCHANT, Ted Leonard (vocals/guitar) and Ryo Okumoto (vocals/guitar). The band was born when Ted Leonard (vocals/guitar) and Dave Meros (bass), both third generation singers in Spock's Beard and members of ENCHANT, and Jimmy Keegan (drums), formerly of Spock's Beard, came together to finish the songs John was working on.The current album, Pattern-Seeking Animals, contains songs by John with ideas and performances by the four members, plus female vocals and live strings. The band sought a new path to differentiate itself from Spock's Beard in every detail, including song structure, vocal arrangements, synthesizer sounds, and control of the emotional parts. The result was a series of songs that are full of emotional and melodic polish and charm, including "Fall Away" and "These Are My Things," as well as "No Burden Left To Carry," "Orphans Of The Universe," "Stars Along The The album also includes "No Burden Left To Carry," "Orphans Of The Universe," and "Stars Along The Way," a 10-minute epic that shows the band's presence and is an impressive debut. Pattern-Seeking Animals" is based on progressive rock, but also draws on the wide range of musical genres and new ideas and techniques John has absorbed, from pop and rock to J-pop and EDM (surprisingly, John has also been involved with bands such as Panic! At The Disco and The Chainsmokers, which he says may have had a small influence on this album). This album is a taste of his rich musical world that never fits into the progressive rock mold, and is one of the best albums of 2019. Finally, it should be noted that the band has already begun work on their second album. When the band first formed, it was a recording project. But now there are plans for live performances. We are hoping to release one album a year (John). Happily, it seems that Pattern-Seeking Animals is not a temporary band.
