SANDERLING,MICHAEL

Description:

Beethoven and Shostakovich, two revolutionary symphonies that decided the fate of two composers, are coupled by the third son of the famous German conductor Kurt Sanderling, Michael Sanderling, who is currently the hottest conductor in Europe as of 2018, and his hand-picked orchestra, the Dresden Philharmonic, in the Sony The "Beethoven & Shostakovich: The Complete Symphonies Recording Project" for Sony Classical. The fourth in the series combining the symphonies of these two composers, "the composers who completed and concluded one of the foundations of Western music," will be a combination of their most famous symphonies, "No. 5. Beethoven's Fifth Symphony, "Fate," although not officially titled, is in perfect accord with the tune, and the first sketch was written in 1803, which was reworked many times to form a work with a precise theoretical structure. Shostakovich's Fifth is the work that began his mid-period neoclassical style and made the composer under siege a national artist. While written in a flat style, the whole is a serious and sincere tragedy, not a bit pandering to power or the masses. Like "Fate," the title "Revolution" is a Japanese term, not the composer's own.Michael's father, Kurt Sanderling, who spent a quarter of a century in the Soviet Union with Mravinsky and others, expressed himself confidently in Shostakovich's works, and in Shostakovich, Michael also beautifully contrasts "gravity" and "humor. In Beethoven, on the other hand, Michael thoroughly adheres to the period performance style, which is distinct from his father Kurt's profound interpretation of Beethoven, and seems to present new possibilities for interpretation of Beethoven, which has been performed to its fullest. Using the relatively large size of a regular symphony orchestra, the orchestra's unique interpretation, with its fast tempo and light sound, brings out the transparent patterns of the individual voices, further expanding the possibilities of Beethoven performance.
