Joy Williams, the female singer of the alternative country duo "The Civil Wars," which sadly disbanded in 2014, makes her solo debut. The Civil Wars released two albums, "Barton Hollow" (2011) and "The Civil Wars" (2013, #1 on the U.S. album charts), and won four Grammy Awards in the country category during their brief run until 2014. The band's bluesy, nostalgic sound, with female vocals by Joy Williams and male vocals by John Paul White, made them popular not only in the U.S. but also in Europe. This is Joy Williams' debut solo album, released after a year of silence since her breakup. While her mature and quiet worldview remains unchanged, the songs on this album are about the raw images of women living in today's world. Not being bound by the organic image of her past work, Joy Williams also incorporates electro sounds, and depicts various aspects of her own story.Her beautiful appearance was once like that of the Mona Lisa, but in this film, which has been infused with life, she shows a vibrant and true face that she has never shown before.
