Pavement guitarist Scott Kamberg releases new album under his solo name Spiral Stairs! Matt Berninger of The National, Kevin Drew of Broken Social Scene, and Justin Peroff also participate! Pavement guitarist Scott Kamberg has released a new album "Doris & the Daggers" under his solo name Spiral Stairs! This is his first release under this name in eight years, since 2009's "The Real Feel". The album is the result of the death of Derrius Minwall, who was the drummer for the Preston School of Industry formed after Pavement disbanded, and his move from LA to Brisbane, Australia, where he spent time with his family and strongly felt the joys of fatherhood, eating haggis meat, and Spending his days as an Australian, and inspired by the life-changing events of the past 8 years, this is his most personal and emotional work to date.The album features Matt Berninger of The National, Kevin Drew and Justin Peroff of Broken Social Scene, Kelly Stoltz, and Adam Wade of Shadder to Sync. Recorded at Exactamundo Studios in Eagle Rock, Calif.
