World-famous tenor Jonas Kaufmann is a self-confessed movie buff. When he is on concert tours around the world, he enjoys & relaxes by going to the cinema. His love of film music led him to release "The Sound of Movies" in 2023, an album of theme songs and theme music from the world of film music he loves. This video was recorded at a live concert in Prague in support of the album.The concert was held in Prague's beautiful Smetana Hall, which was built at the beginning of the 20th century, during the birth of cinema. The concert will begin with the "20th Century Fox Fanfare" played by a gorgeous full orchestra that symbolizes the golden age of Hollywood movies, followed by a performance of many masterpieces such as "A Love Poem," "West Side Story," "The Deer Hunter," "Gone with the Wind," "Romeo and Juliet," and other memorable scenes and music that bring to mind. The concert will also feature a number of masterpieces. Another highlight of the concert will be the film commentary by Jonas Kaufmann in between the performances.
