Polish guitarist Michał Stanikowski is an accomplished guitarist who has won more than 30 international competitions, including the Felbert International Guitar Competition (Germany), the Enschede International Guitar Competition (the Netherlands), and the Weimar International Guitar Competition (Germany). In addition to performing as a soloist and chamber musician at music festivals around the world, he teaches at music universities in Trossingen, Germany and Zurich, Switzerland, and serves as artistic director of the international guitar festival "Gitarrophilia". This album consists mainly of small pieces that Stanikowski has performed as encores at recitals for more than 20 years, and is a timeless musical journey that concentrates on the fascination of Spanish music from the 16th century to the present day.
