Digipak Howard Riley "Discussions" CD with previously unreleased material, reissued in 2015, is now in stock! The legendary disc, of which only 99 original LPs exist, has finally been reissued on CD! Since it is impossible to obtain the original LPs any more, it is a great accomplishment to be able to listen to it on CD. The LPs reissued by Sawano Shokai in limited editions are now very expensive... The contents of this CD are somewhere between modern jazz and free jazz (some tracks are more free jazz than others), and you can enjoy the thrilling and fast performance of the early Howard Riley, which is so powerful that you can't help but sweat when you listen to it intensely. Another highlight of this CD is the previously unreleased bonus tracks on tracks 9 and 10. The credits state that the recording was made on October 2, 1960.Howard Riley was born in 1943, which means he was 17 years old! The sound quality is not as good as the original version, but the trio of Howard Riley, malcolm kaye (bass), and Ray Binns (drums) play with a great atmosphere.
