Great pianists are also top-notch sidemen. This is a 3CD compilation of recordings of numerous jazz pianists who participated as sidemen. The compositions vary from quartet to quintet, and each piece begins with piano. The main selection is 36 songs in total. The compilation is a collection of 36 pieces, mainly selected from such pieces. I was surprised at the skillful approach of the pianist as a by-player, and was reminded of the functionality and importance of the piano in jazz composers on well-known and familiar tunes. Once again, I was reminded of this. The music was picked up from sources mainly from famous labels such as Blue Note, Prestige, Verve, and others. It is also a good idea to get together with other jazz lovers on a holiday, play this CD, and take a "pianist guessing quiz" (blind fold test?). Enjoy THE SIDEMEN !
