This 5CD box contains 10 albums released from 1969-78 while the Texas soft rock duo Shields & Crofts, known for their 1970 hit "Summer Breeze of Memories," were with Warner Bros. Formed in Los Angeles in 1969, Shields and Crofts released their self-titled debut that same year and "Down Home" in 1970. Warner Brothers Records was the ideal label for their mellow, acoustic-based sound, and they were signed in 1971 with "Year Of Sunday". They finally hit it big with 1972's "Summer Breeze," and the title track from 1973's "Diamond Girl" went platinum again, even though their stance, as represented by 1974's "Unborn Child," divided their fan base.By 1974, they had established themselves at California Jam, one of the biggest festivals of the '70s, alongside the biggest names of the decade, including Deep Purple, Black Sabbath, ELP, and the Eagles. With their last Warner album in 1980, Shields and Crofts went their separate ways. Their smooth sound has since been reevaluated and continues to attract today's mellow lovers.
