The best of 90s R&B "in storage"! Jeff Red's second album, which was miraculously reissued on CD in 2015, is now available for the first time on analog LP, much to the delight of 90s freaks! Jeff Red released his first album "A Quiet Storm" (Uptown,'90) produced by The Untouchables, a unit of producers who would later lead the Hip Hop/R&B world, and Divante Swing, who was just before his debut with R&B group Jodeci, and "I Found Lovin'" and "Love High" and debuted as a major newcomer. After the success of the first album, the long-awaited follow-up, "Down Low," was scheduled for release in 1993, but when MCA suddenly closed its black music division, the label switched to Manhattan/EMI and first released "Show You" as a single with remixes by Marley Marl and Lord Finesse. The album was postponed just before its release, although it was cut as a single with a remix by Marley Marl and Lord Finesse.Only a very small number of copies were ever recovered, and they never appeared on the market again... a hidden item in the shadows of 90s R&B history! Despite the tragedy, the production is somewhere between New Jack Swing and Hip-Hop Soul, and Jeff's voice is unmistakably wonderful! The original was always priced at 5 figures until P Vine reissued it on CD.
