Description:

The miraculous school live on April 4, 1963. The biggest historical discovery of this century! The long full-length live performance right after the release of the debut LP was unexpected. The world marveled at the whole picture revealed. The first edition includes a bonus CD with 21 songs from the BBC live show in the best sound quality in the order of the songs from Stowe Academy. The Beatles released their debut album, "The Beatles' First Album," in 1966, and the news of its discovery came from the BBC. The BBC has discovered a 60-minute-long live performance at Stowe School, a prestigious boys' school in Buckinghamshire, England, two weeks after The Beatles released their debut album. This was a time when their single "Please Please Me" was a hit and their popularity was growing in the UK. A student at the school, David Moores, wrote to the Beatles and made it happen, a school concert on April 4, 1963. John Bloomfield, a 15-year-old male student at the time, recorded the concert and kept it for 60 years (it is now in the British Library). Last month, it was brought to BBC Broadcasting and only parts of four songs, "I Saw Her Standing There," "Too Much Monkey Business," "Memphis, Tennessee," and "Please Please Me," were broadcast. And now here it is in its entire 60-minute length. The students' cheers are subdued, probably due to the fact that this is a prestigious British boys' school, but the sound quality makes the performance audible.George's guitar is larger and more balanced, and his guitar playing is 20% sharper than usual. The sound quality was not good, perhaps due to the limitations of the equipment at the time, but it has been demixed and remastered using the latest technology available today. The 22 incredible songs performed include "Love Me Do," "Thank You Girl," and "Missouri," the first time these songs have been performed live in person outside of the past series of BBC broadcast shows (unfortunately, "Money" was partially cut). With occasional requests, the stage proceeds in a passionate yet friendly manner. After the performance, there was a dinner party at the school, and the audience seemed to have had a chance to interact with the students. (1/2)
